R Workshop

In-Person

This is a quarter-long, asynchronous course held in Canvas from Tuesday, April 11 at 12 a.m. through June 23 at 12 a.m. R is a programming language and free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. The R language is widely used among statisticians and data miners for developing statistical software and data analysis.

This workshop includes two Carpentry-based workshops focused on learning R and not statistical analysis. You can choose to complete one or both; it's up to you!

  • Programming with R: Introduction to R built around data analysis, a common scientific task. Participation time is approximately 7 hours.
  • R for Reproducible Scientific Analysis: Teaches novice programmers to write modular code and best practices for using R. Participation time is approximately 9 hours.
