Having trouble keeping your files organized, or remembering the details of your research when analyzing or reusing your data? Good data management practices can help! This workshop covers practical ways to keep your research data organized and make sharing your data with collaborators easier, ultimately facilitating research reproducibility. Topics will include file naming and organization, writing effective documentation (README files, data dictionaries), structuring tabular data for analysis, and tools for collaboration and data archiving. We will cover general strategies that are relevant across disciplines, and highlight resources for data management available at UCI.
The session will be recorded and the slides and recording will be sent to both registered and waitlisted participants, although registrants are encouraged to attend and interact.
