Introduction to Digital Sandbox

Online

This workshop will explore UCI Libraries' new service, Digital Sandbox, a fully hosted platform that researchers can use to explore specialized software applications for digital projects. The Digital Sandbox is ideal for UCI researchers (including faculty, students and staff) who want to:

  • Build and test tools for a short to medium term digital project
  • Decide whether a certain software is right for their needs
  • Scope out a project that can later be moved on to a permanent hosting solution
  • Collaborate with peers or student

In this workshop, we will cover ways Digital Sandbox can be used to teach or host digital projects. We will share examples and walk through some basic activities that you can use to explore what can be done with Digital Sandbox. There will also be time for Q&A.
