Open Educational Resources & Affordability Workshop

Online

Affordable or free textbooks on the first day of class: a win for you and your students

Could there ever be a textbook that is customizable to your needs, accessible on the first day of class, and affordable for students?

The answer is YES!

Join UCI Libraries to learn more about Open Educational Resources (OER) and other Affordable Course Materials that can reduce course costs for your students. Studies have shown students who use OER find them to be accessible, relevant, and engaging. After this workshop, attendees will feel empowered by knowing where to find these free and affordable options that significantly lessen the burden of cost for their students.

For questions or concerns, please contact Nicole Carpenter, Research Librarian for Social Sciences at ncarp@uci.edu
